It’s hard not to believe that Margot Robbie was destined to embody Barbie perfectly. The famous Australian actress takes the spotlight as playing ‘The Barbie’. Her outfits have been getting so much love and hyped as she perfectly embraces Barbie’s character. She is joined by a star-studded cast that includes the talents of Ryan Gosling, Dua Lipa, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, America Ferrera, Issa Rae, and Will Ferrell, who join her on this captivating cinematic journey.

Fun fact about Margot Robbie is that she wasn’t a Barbie fanatic girl. During the casting process, Gerwig and Robbie sought out that elusive "Barbie energy," a unique blend of beauty and exuberance they identified in Gal Gadot. Robbie explained that Gadot possesses an impossibly stunning beauty, yet her genuine sincerity and enthusiastic kindness make her so endearing that it's almost like embracing one's inner dorkiness just before being utterly charming. Unfortunately, Gadot wasn't available for the role. Nevertheless, they discovered their perfect Barbies in the likes of Issa Rae, Hari Nef, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, Alexandra Shipp, Kate McKinnon, and other talented individuals. Additionally, there are multiple Kens in this enchanting mix. Within this captivating ensemble, Rae takes on the role of President Barbie, while Robbie embodies the essence of Stereotypical Barbie.

The outfits showcased during the premiere have captured immense adoration and sparked conversations, as they ingeniously pay homage to Barbie doll's iconic fashion choices. During the press tour, Robbie, under the expert guidance of stylist Andrew Mukamal, had the luxury of selecting designs from various esteemed fashion houses, ranging from vintage Versace to Vivienne Westwood. Yet, it's worth noting that some of her most captivating ensembles drew inspiration from Barbie's timeless wardrobe. Among these were a chic black-and-white-striped swimsuit reminiscent of the doll's debut in 1959, a sophisticated skirt suit inspired by the '80s, and a vibrant swirly minidress reminiscent of Barbie's fashionable choices from the '90s.
